Project management

Members of RapidCast are trained in the use of project management principles and software. We have years of experience dealing with small to large scale projects and strive to deliver them within the required timescales.


Product design & development

The team at RapidCast, in conjunction with members of the Newby Foundries Group can offer customers assistance with the design of their castings.  This can include design for casting manufacture, material selection, casting modification, FEA analysis and metal flow/solidification simulation.

RapidCast uses the latest version of SolidWorks for CAD modelling. We can work with customers to generate 3D data for components and remodel existing components for manufacture.  We are able to receive many of the standard CAD formats.


3D scanning & reverse engineering

Our reverse engineering services allow for customers to reproduce discontinued parts. Drawings, images, physical models and old, damaged or worn parts can be used as reference to create new CAD data.  This data is created using the latest SolidWorks software. Depending on the project requirements, it can be produced either manually or via a range of laser optical and touch probe 3D scanning solutions. Parts can then be recreated using a suitable manufacturing process.
